What's new Even simpler integration Active Directory Active Directory integration provides AD user, group, or computer name information for each applicable DNS request. We have made AD integration even easier. By utilizing the Umbrella roaming client, MSPs can integrate AD with any RMM tool. This provides more granularity and improves visibility across MSP clients without the need for any server virtualization. Advanced features File inspection with Cisco Advanced Malware Protection (AMP) & anti-virus engine The le inspection feature is one of several Cisco has developed around advancing our intelligent proxy infrastructure to deliver even more cloud-based security for MSPs. When Umbrella receives a DNS request, it uses intelligence to determine if the request is safe, malicious or risky — meaning the domain contains both malicious and legitimate content. Safe and malicious requests are routed as usual or blocked, respectively. Risky requests are routed to our cloud-based proxy for deeper inspection. The Umbrella proxy uses Cisco Talos web reputation and other third-party feeds to determine if a URL is malicious. Our proxy also inspects les attempted to be downloaded from those risky sites using an anti-virus (AV) engine and Cisco Advanced Malware Protection (AMP). And, based on the outcome of this inspection, the connection is allowed or blocked. AMP analyzes more than 1.5 million malware samples daily, providing a massive repository in the cloud for Umbrella to check against. This feature is provided as part of the Advanced package. There is nothing new to deploy or install on customer networks in order to benet from this feature. Custom URL blocking Custom URL blocking gives you the ability to enforce against malicious URLs in a destination list. This now gives the exibility to block specic pages without blocking entire domains. Similar to le inspection, this is a feature of our intelligent proxy. If Umbrella receives a request for a URL that is on a customer's block list, it is routed to our proxy and blocked.
